Homebrewer in need! Passing along the posting.

Hey fellow homebrewers!
This is a call-out to all the Minnesota Homebrew clubs to support a local homebrewer through a rough time. Chris German has a wonderful 3 year old daughter named Emma, who has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive childhood cancer called neuroblastoma. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Children's Hospital MPLS, and will need a stem cell transplant at the University of Minnesota in the future. Obviously this is tough to deal with, and puts a lot of stress on the family, socially and financially.
To those who know Chris and his family, they are the most relaxed and giving people you are likely to meet. Chris works for Brewer's Supply Group, selling grain and brewing ingredients to breweries and homebrew supply shops. The wonderful folks at Northern Brewer have started up a special beer kit called Emma's Ale, giving proceeds to fund research at Children's Hospital. I'm e ncouraging homebrewers to pick up this kit and brew it! Support Emma, support a MN homebrew shop, and support Children's cancer research. http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/emma-s-ale-extract-kit-w-specialty-grains.html
Club mates of Chris at Jack Of All Brews plan to all get this kit and have a grand tasting at our January 14th meeting. We will also have a fundraising raffle and pot-luck that month. Tell us if you plan on doing anything! Check out our forum or facebook site for more info: http://www.jackofallbrews.org/forum/
Brew this kit! Also thank Northern Brewer for being so cool. To read more about Emma's battle you can visit her Caring Bridge website. Brewer's Supply Group has also set up a fund in Emma's name. Direct contributions can be made in the form of a check written to Emma German and sent to this address:

Thanks to everyone,
