Souris River Brewing in Minot

My wife and I had supper there last night. Very nice place and busy. We were seated right away but others stood for up to 1/2 hour. It took 10 minutes to get our drink order. Artistic decor. Curved shape bar with church pew booths on the opposite side from the bar and round tables in between. One man guitar player was a nice added touch. Open grill kitchen at the back of the room. We both had bison burgers. They cook all their burgers med-well, which is too done for me. I prefer medium. Taste was good but dryer than I like. Mostly a burger menu, with bison, elk and angus beef. Some vegetarian options and salads. Sweet potato fries got cold quickly. They have a decent selection of micro-brew beers from Bells, Flying Dog, Breckenridge and Boulevard. They had 3 in-house beers. I had the SaisoND Farmish ale and their hefeweizen. Hmmm. Seems like Sam Adams to me - middle of the road for quality. Meals were $14 each and bottles $3 and draught $4. Will try them again and great to see this type of establishment in town.

It's great to see these new breweries popping up around the state!

Looks like they will be opening with the new year. Had lunch there last weekend and will have to give a thumbs up to them.
