The Shriners came to us to ask if we wanted to help out with the presentations (I am doing the beer and food presentation) plus they wanted to have homebrew available for sampling too. So a few club members have been working on this for many months and we should have 10+ homebrews availble for sampling and we really hope that one of them wins the people's choice voting over the comercial brews.

I got some information. No real limit to the number of tickets and you should be able to buy tickets at the door. They have 300 glasses now and if pre-sales of tickets is very good, they might get more. This is their first attempt at this type of event so they are not sure about numbers yet.

I'm not sure if tickets are limited, but I do know that the glasses are.

1st Annual Suds 'N' Spuds Event
Saturday March 26th from 1 to 4pm. $20 including a commemorative glass. Hosted by the El Zagel Shrine Temple.
Sample beers from local distributors, Granite City Food & Brewery, and homebrew from the Prairie Homebrewing Companions. Also a huge potato bar to make your own loaded potato.
In addition there will be educational seminars being put on by the homebrewers covering Beer, Mead, Homebrewing and Pairing beer with food.
