Bayou Classic burner Empty Bayou Classic burner

Post  Paul Thu Sep 27, 2012 12:11 pm

Any secrets to getting a consistent flame on a high pressure burner like the bayou classic burner? I have been having trouble keeping a flame more than just a trickle. When I light the burner it has a nice aggressive blue flame, but within several seconds it will diminish to almost no flame. This will occur even with a full 20 lb. propane tank. The propane hose is the original one that came with the tank, and has a high pressure regulator on it with the control valve. I have this connected to a "T" with another burner on the other arm of the "T" and a 20 foot hose from the "T" to the propane tank.
