DSU Blues and Brew

Hi Paul,

This is our third year of hosting Blues & Brews here in Dickinson--a beer
festival that promotes local and regional brews and features live musical
entertainment—all for the benefit of student scholarship through the DSU Alumni
& Foundation. The beer tasting event is held on June 1, 2013 in the concourse of
the Biesiot Activities Center on the DSU campus from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. We are
arranging for food trucks to be outside and a concert in the parking lot to
follow the event. We set up tables for brewers to serve their beer. Attendees
receive a tasting glass for sampling. You do not need anything outside of your
beer and serving equipment.

As you can appreciate, Dickinson is certainly growing and we have a generous
number of beer enthusiasts who look forward to our festival each year. This
year, we would like to see brewers from across the state come out and showcase
their creations—and we always like to give our alums good reasons to come back
to Dickinson, too. I recently attended the Arizona Strong Beer Festival in
Phoenix and brought back some great ideas for our event and I will be checking
out the Bakken Brew Fest next month to see what they're up to in Sidney. We
would love to see Dickinson become the place for brewers in ND to come together
and feature their work each year!

This is a charitable event and brewer registration is free. We ask that those
participating provide five gallons of each beer entered for sampling. We will
happily provide a gift-in-kind receipt for the value of the beer provided in
addition to two (2) event tickets and a special gift for each brewer—and of
course, there is always the shot at bragging rights in the competition for the
People's Choice Awards! Contact me for a Brewer Registration Form for you to
